High-Density Quad Stable

The High-Density Quad Stable

The High-Density Quad Stable provides the greatest per pallet capacity and flexibility in stall size. The Quad Stable accommodates up to four horses on a single pallet in all narrow and wide body freighters. The Quad Stable has both Canadian MOT STA and US FAA STC approval, and meets IATA requirements for the transport of horses. It is approved for use on all of the pallets and aircraft listed below.

The standard Quad Stable loads and unloads through the front. It is ideal for bulk use on charter flights, or can be loaded on the tarmac and lifted on the aircraft as palletized cargo.

The Quad Stable is delivered flat, and is quickly erected by two men without special tools or fasteners. It is secured to a pallet with standard cargo straps.

The Quad Stable is designed for easy assembly.

The Quad Stable features a raised waste-containing platform to protect the aircraft from damage which can occur when shipping animals. When empty, the stable is easily moved by fork-lift and standard ground handling equipment independent of the pallet. Its rugged aluminum and fiberglass construction is easy to clean with high pressure hose or steam cleaner.

Configurations
The smaller stable size of the quad units can be converted into larger triple, double and hybrid stall configurations, depending on the size and temperament of the animals. The various stall configurations and sizes are shown below. Reference the IATA Live Animal Handbook, for grouping information if you plan on shipping more than one horse to a stall.

Optional Equipment
The High-Density Quad Stable supports the following optional equipment that provides for hassle-free transits. Optional equipment should be specified when ordering.

Sniffer Panels
Aft Shields
Charter Panels

Required Equipment
The following equipment is required to use the above equipment on any of the aircraft listed below. The pallets and tie-down straps are generally supplied by the carrier, and are made available to the shipper in advance.
Pallets Any one of the standard pallet sizes listed below. You'll need one pallet per unit. They are commercial air-cargo standard pallets, and are sometimes referred to as "cookie sheets".
Straps Standard (5,000 lbs.) aircraft tie-down straps keep this container on the pallet. They are sometimes scarce around airports, so let us know if you'll need us to supply them for you.
Bedding While not absolutely a requirement, we list it here because some form of bedding is always used. This can vary from a rubber mat for traction, to an adsorbent media to reduce moisture and bacteria on longer flights. We can supply whatever you need if you don't already have your own.
If you're unsure what's best for a typical flight or destination, you can look it up in the IATA Live Animal Handbook - or just ask us.
